Thread Vein and Skin Tag Removal

We use the advanced Apilus electrolysis system to safely and precisely treat a range of minor skin concerns, including thread veins and skin tags.

Advanced electrolysis uses a very fine probe and controlled electrical energy to target the specific area being treated. The treatment is highly precise, allowing your therapist to work carefully on individual skin concerns while minimising the effect on the surrounding skin.

Every skin concern is different, which is why a consultation is required before any Advanced Electrolysis treatment. This allows us to assess the area, make sure the treatment is suitable for you and discuss what you can expect from your results.

WHAT CAN ADVANCED ELECTROLYSIS TREAT?

We currently offer Advanced Electrolysis for:

Thread Veins
Small, visible blood vessels that commonly appear on areas such as the cheeks and around the nose. Advanced electrolysis uses controlled energy to target and cauterise the tiny vessel, helping to reduce its visible appearance.

Skin Tags
Small, harmless growths of skin that can develop in areas where the skin naturally creases or experiences friction. Advanced electrolysis can be used to precisely treat the skin tag with minimal impact on the surrounding skin.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?

Before booking your treatment, you’ll attend a consultation with one of our trained therapists. We’ll take a close look at the area you’d like treated, discuss your medical history and assess whether Advanced Electrolysis is the most appropriate option for you.

During treatment, a very fine probe is used to deliver a small, controlled amount of electrical energy directly to the area of concern. Because the treatment is so precise, we can work on very small areas of the skin with accuracy.

The length of your appointment and the number of treatments required will depend on the type, size and number of areas being treated. Your therapist will discuss this with you during your consultation.

HOW DOES IT FEEL?

Everyone experiences Advanced Electrolysis slightly differently. You may feel a brief warming, tingling or stinging sensation as the area is treated.

The treatment is carried out in short, precise bursts and your therapist will ensure you are comfortable throughout your appointment.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTERWARDS?

It is completely normal for the treated area to appear slightly red or feel sensitive immediately afterwards. Depending on the concern being treated, you may also notice a small amount of swelling or tiny crusts forming as the skin begins its natural healing process.

It is important not to pick or disturb the treated area and to follow the aftercare advice provided by your therapist. The skin will need time to heal following treatment.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

This varies from person to person. Some concerns may respond well to a single treatment, while others may require further sessions to achieve the desired improvement.

Factors including the size, location and nature of the concern will determine the recommended treatment plan. We will always discuss this with you before proceeding.
