What is LED light therapy?
Light therapy utilises natural visible red light and near infrared light wavelengths to restore cell processes in the skin to soften fine lines, improve skin tone and brighten the complexion.
The light therapy boosts specific cells that are responsible for the repair of the skin's supportive structures and counteract the natural slowing down of cell renewal.
What results can I expect from the light therapy treatment?
After a single light therapy treatment clinical studies show improved hydration, a brighter, clearer complexion and softer, smoother skin.
After a course of around 4 treatments deeper results have been verified to include wrinkle reduction, improved elasticity and skin tone with a noticeable brighter complexion.
What happens during the Light Therapy facial?
Following a deep cleanse, the Hydrogel Mask is applied. This is both cooling and deeply hydrating. The light therapy device is then placed over the mask.
After 10 minutes both are removed and your therapist may apply further facial products to maximise the receptive nature of the skin following the treatment.
How long will the results last?
This will vary according to lifestyle, skin type and whether you have combined light therapy with other treatments.
Once you have completed your initial course it is recommended to have at least one maintenance treatment every 4-6 weeks as this will prolong the effects.
Does it feel claustrophobic?
No - unlike other traditional LED systems that surround the whole face, our LED light therapy system is modular and specifically designed to deliver a comfortable photo-facial. It does not cover the eyes or feel heavy on the skin.
