FACIAL PEELS - revitalise your skin and reveal a smoother, healthier complexion.
What is a chemical facial peel?
A chemical peel is a solution applied to your skin (usually the face) which removes the dead and damaged skin to reveal the healthy, new layers underneath.
What are the benefits of a facial peel?
Richard uses both mild and moderate strength chemical peels that give instant, radiant results for most skin types.
- Improves a range of skin concerns, including photodamage.
- Reveal an overall improvement in skin texture and tone.
- Reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
- Can be beneficial for darker skin with pigmentary changes.
- Can aid the treatment of scars and acne.
Mild Peels - (AHA) Alphahydroxy acids
Using Glycolic acid, these are the mildest of the peel formulas and produce a light and mild peel.
They can provide smoother, brighter-looking skin. AHA peels maybe used to treat fine wrinkling, areas of dryness, uneven pigmentation and acne. Our Aesthetic Specialist Practitioner who is trained in non-surgical procedures will be able to recommend the right one for you at a consultation.
Moderate Peels - (TCA) Trichloroacetic acid
Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) can be used in many concentrations, but is most commonly used for medium depth peels targeting surface wrinkles and blemishes. Pigmentation and acne problems are commonly treated with these higher strength chemical peels.
Patients are advised to avoid sun exposure and to use sun protection cream (minimum SPF 30) for several weeks following treatment. Failure to comply with this recommendation may produce some unintended colour changes in skin.
