Colonic Hydrotherapy

More commonly than ever before, many of us lead hectic lifestyles where we spend much of our time constantly on the go. We seem to ignore the effects that years of lengthy working hours, not drinking enough water or taking enough exercise can have on our bodies. Without our realising, toxins begin to build up, affecting our body's tissues and cells.
A course of Colonic Hydrotherapy sessions along with regular exercise and a sensible diet will help your body detoxify, allowing it to achieve many positive benefits.

What is a Colonic Hydrotherapy?

In simple terms, colonic means to flush out the colon, hydro means to assist with water and therapy is looking into lifestyle, health and individual client's needs. Abdominal massage is also used to help release the fluid and aid movement from the bowel.

How does the treatment work?

Despite many people's preconceptions of Colonic Hydrotherapy, it actually isn't as bad as it may sound. A small speculum is inserted into the rectum and warm water is flushed into the colon. The water moves around your colon, flushing out debris and toxins that have harboured in the colon for a long time. In doing this your colon is cleansed to help eliminate symptoms of toxicity. The continuous flow of warm water during the treatment allows the colon muscles to evacuate the waste gently and the peristalsis (muscle movement of the colon) is an excellent way of exercising the colon

What happens during a colonic hydrotherapy procedure?

We understand that booking some appointments may be a little embarrassing but please be assured that we will not ask any personal details over the phone. Just ask for an appointment with Caroline or fill out an online booking request at www.jbcvitality.co.uk
Once you have entered the clinic you will be met by our receptionist who will then take you through to meet Caroline in our specially designed Colonic Hydrotherapy room. The room is relaxing and calming with candles and soothing burning oils to help relax your mind and body.
After a brief chat with Caroline she will begin your consultation. The consultation is designed to gain as much information as possible about your health, lifestyle and diet so that Caroline can work with you to plan the best treatment for you and help guide you through the procedure.
You will be shown to our bathroom where you will be asked to remove the bottom half of your clothing and put on one of our special towel wraps. You will be given time to freshen up and make yourself comfortable - we want you to feel very much at ease and we have no doubt that you will.
Once you are changed you will come back into the treatment room where you will be asked to lay on our comfortable treatment couch. You remain covered from the waist down at all times. Caroline will explain the treatment through in more detail to you before your treatment begins.
Whilst the treatment is in progress you may feel some discomfort but certainly no pain. Caroline will help you to remain relaxed through the procedure and answer any questions you may have as the treatment progresses.
Once the treatment is completed you will go back to our bathroom where you can refresh before Caroline goes through your feedback and if any, a diagnosis. This is certainly nothing to worry about and generally is very interesting and enlightening. Caroline will give you guidance on any further treatments or recommendations.
Many clients say they feel lighter and refreshed after their treatment and some clients who have regular treatments say their skin feels cleaner and healthier as well as feeling more energised.

    This includes an in-depth consultation which helps Caroline, our Colonic expert practitioner, to find out your personal profile, find out whats happening with your body and give her an insight into whats going on with any problems you may be experiencing. With this full Colonic Hydrotherapy treatment Caroline will also give you advise on any lifestyle changes that can help you. Caroline always advises this longer session when it is your first treatment with her.
  • Basic Colonic Hydro treatment 1hour - £60
    If you've had the Colonic hydrotherapy before and just want the treatment then this shorter version could be for you.
  • Individually prescribed Detox packages from £150 for a course of treatments.
    Caroline will work with you to tailor make a package of treatments that work for you at a discounted price.
