Moderate Depth Peels (Trichloroacetic acid)

Trichloroacetic acid is used and produces a light moderate peel. Skin peels are used to provide smoother, brighter-looking skin. Facial peels may be used to treat fine wrinkling, area of dryness, uneven pigmentation and acne. Peels also give great results on the hands.

Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) can be used in many concentrations, but is most commonly used for medium depth peels targeting surface wrinkles and blemishes. Pigmentation and acne problems are commonly treated with TCA. Our Aesthetic Specialist Practitioner who is trained in non-surgical procedures will be able to recommend the right one for you at a consultation. TCA-Peel patients are advised to avoid sun exposure and to use sun protection cream (minimum SPF 30) for several weeks following treatment. Failure to comply with this recommendation may produce some unintended colour changes in skin. The Procedure TCA is applied to your skin with two cotton buds. Treatment is administered in a single session, of around 5-10 minutes duration. During this period, you may experience a slight burning sensation. This sensation is so slight, no sedation or anesthesia is required. A neautralising cream will be then put on over the face to end the slight burning sensation and to end the facial peel. Aftercare advice will then be given.
