Is excessive sweating affecting your quality of life?
Hyperhydrosis or excessive sweating is a condition that affects the amount of perspiration produced by the body. The condition can leave the affected areas constantly damp making everyday activities difficult to carry out and inevitably causing embarrassment to the sufferer.
What can we do to help?
Excessive sweating is treated with a small amount of Botulinum that can be injected into the area where excessive sweating occurs to stop the nerve from stimulating the sweat gland.
How long will it last?
The medication acts by temporarily bloacking neurotransmitters that stimulate sweat poroduction and will last from 3-7 months.The procedure is temporary and ongoing treatments are required to maintain the results. Some individuals have seen the results last for uo to 8 months.
