Waxing - What's in a name?

Do you remember when a bikini wax was just a bikini wax?

Now there's a few to choose from some customers find it confusing so i will try to explain.

First there's "Bikini wax" it does what it says. We wax up to the Bikini or knicker line.
If you want a bit more then ask for "Brazilian". We will wax up to a G-string or thong bikini.
The "Californian" is all the hair removed from underneath with a little bit left so your not completely bald.
"Hollywood" is all the hair removed.

Brazilian Californian and Hollywood bikini waxing

The last two are not recommended for first time waxers but if you feel brave then go for it! You will be offered paper knickers so you dont need to worry about being naked. All waxing treatments are carried out in private rooms. The hairs need to be about 5mm long to get the best results. If the hairs are too short they wont all come out and if they're too long it hurts more. If they are long then you can trim them very CAREFULLY at home. Most clients get the "plucked chicken" look but it goes after a few hours but can take a day or two after your first few treatments.

Avoid sun exposure, sunbeds, sauna's ,hot baths and perfumed products on the area for 24 hours after treatment. Dont use fake tan untill the redness goes.

If you are prone to ingrown hairs then you should exfoliate the area when the hairs start to re grow. Just use a loofah, cream or mitt to help the hairs push through the dead skin.

Try to avoid your " time of the month " because you're more sensitive and waxing can be more painfull then. We understand that certain treatments are very private and personal and can sometimes be a bit embarrassing but we do treatments like these all the time and remember , we have hairy bits too!
