Most of us spent our youth sun worshiping, wishing to be brown and healthy looking, not knowing the damage the "healthy glow" was actually doing to us. Most of the damage is done before we hit 18 but it doesn't normally show untill later. Gradually the melanin in our skin becomes uneaven and can become patchy. These sun spots age us and make our skin look unhealthy.

We all know the ageing effects of the sun now, but is it too late to reverse the damage?
With our Ellipse machine we can. We have treatments for Skin Rejuvenation and Pigmentation. Ellipse uses intense pulsed light to break down melanin patches on the skin. Sounds technical and it is but I'll try to explain it simply.
I've had the treatment my self and the results are fantastic. A consultation and patch test is required a week before your first treatment.

When you arrive for treatment we take you to a private room where you lie on a comfortable beauty couch. We cleanse your skin and apply a clear gel (like ultra sound gel). We cover your eyes with goggles and place the hand held light on your skin. You will feel a twang as the light is attracted to the melanin patches and freccles. What the light actually does is break down the built up melanin then pushes it to the surface which is then naturally shed by your skin. It does sting a bit and your skin will feel a bit hot but it passes quickly. We treat the whole face as well as the neck and you can also have chest and backs of hands treated. It takes about 20 minutes to treat the whole face then we apply some soothing cooling gel and sun screen.

You shouldn't wear makeup for 48 hours (mineral powder is fine) and you have to use sun protection of no less than spf30.

Over the following week your skin will look slightly darker, especially where the sun spots are. After 3 -4 weeks your skin will naturally exfoliate and leave a healthy, even complexion. Three treatments are needed to get maximum results. Sun spots will fade, your skin will look much more even and as a bonus the treatment increases collagen production so it plumps up fine lines and wrinkles! What more could you want? You'll have to wait behind me in the queue for this one.
