Would you like to permanently reduce unwanted hair?
Of course you would!

We can help. We have a very high tech machine which uses intense pulsed light. It works in a similar way to laser hair reduction but its much kinder to your skin and is more effective.

As long as your hairs are darker than your natural skin colour, then we can treat them. You do need a course because the hairs grow in different stages and you must avoid sun exposure in the areas treated for at least a month, all of this is explained in the salon when you call in for a consultation. ( We have to do this to make sure you can have the treatment but its free and your under no obligation) We can also discuss other methods of hair removal (Waxing or Electrolysis) if intense pulsed light is not for you.

When you have your consultation we explain everything in detail. We always take you into a private treatment room to discuss options, fill out the relevant forms and carry out a patch test. The patch test is just a few shots of light on your skin. You can see how it feels and we can check for any reaction.
The treatment gives a little discomfit (a bit like a twang from an elastic band) but not as bad as waxing and as soon as treatment is finished the twang you feel is gone.
After a minimum of a week after patch testing you can begin full treatment. We shave the area (we have to do this because we need the hairs to be in their follicles but dont want hairs on the skins surface). We apply a gel, like ultrasound gel, to the skin then place the hand held light on the area to be treated. We can treat an area like the bikini line in about 15 minutes so its really quick. Then we apply aloe vera gel and you're done!

With this machine we can also treat sun damaged skin, thread veins and wrinkles! We need to do a patch test and consultation for these also. The results are outstanding with all these treatments so call our friendly receptionists and ask for a consultation appointment. See you soon
